Track meet

Jash During high jump
Jash Finished 3rd in the 400m dash
Five D20 middle schools participated in this tournament: Discovery Canyon Campus, Mountain Ridge, Timberlake, Eagleview and Challenger. These teams competed in sprint, hurdles, relays, jumps & throws.
It was a bitterly cold, windy afternoon, but nevertheless, students, teachers, parents, & friends stayed to cheer the athletes. Wrapped up in sweaters, jackets and blankets we endured this harsh weather.

It is amazing how these kids can withstand this temperature and yet still able to run & jump. But what's really nice is that all students from different school came together in a competitive track meet, and yet not one single one of them had any conflict of any sort. In fact I hear so many students complimenting each other how good they jumped or run, or words like " good luck", "that was a good run", "hey what's up?". They sit together, stand together waiting for their turn in each event, they talk to other students from another school, in short the kids was just having fun while playing for their own respective school.
On the background, parents & families cheered their respective kids and school and we were like paparazzis taking pictures & videos non-stop, I was one of them.

Soco game started

Jash steal a ball midway court

trying to gain balance

hands up!!

Soco game started and it was a good start.  Jash likes his team mates, he plays pointguard this season, which is what he wants. He said he does better in this position and he did. They had 2 games in a row and they both won it by a wide margin. He didnt foul out, all of his lay up went in but the free throw was...eww. He is practicing this "new style" of doing the free throw shots and he doesn't quite have the feel of it. But overall he did great.
